Only two years later, Le Coq Sportif would provide a complete kit for French athletes during the Olympic Games: t-shirts, shorts, sweatshirts and sweatpants that sported the iconic rooster, worn during the feats of the French team. Later, in 1975, the brand completely dressed Arthur Ashe, the first black player to dominate in the legendary tennis championship in Wimbledon. Other sports such as rugby and football, athletes such as Yannick Noah and Maradona wore le Coq Sportif during sporting competitions.
